This half day course provides a great Introduction to Coffee and is perfect for learners who are new to specialty coffee and flexible for working professionals.

The course provides a broad understanding of the specialty coffee supply chain and introduces key topics including,

• Coffee history
• Farming and processing
• Roasting fundamentals
• Basics of sensory evaluation
• Freshness and coffee quality variables
• Water quality
• Brewing principles
• Equipment care

At the end of the course, learners may complete an online SCA written assessment.
Successful completion results in an internationally recognised SCA (Specialty Coffee Association) certification.
You can attend the course without taking the examination.

The Examination is paid directly by the student to the SCA for approximately €50.
